Not busy, we wondered why?Carvery was tasty but veg was cold and potatoes too hard, deserts were not good. 8 of us will not book again and rumours are true!
I came here for my nan's birthday when we arrived at the bar the bar maid was outstanding and very friendly so first impressions were good but after that it was down hill from there. No one to meet us to show us our table had to find it ourselves. We sat down at our table where we were given a meal while we sat there all we could hear was what the staff was doing after there shift which was a bit unprofessional as after 20mins the girl came back to take our order. I order the soup and my nan ordered the pate. When it arrived the soup was too hot to eat as it was still bubbling from coming out of the microwave, and my nan's pate was on a hot plate which had melt so you could tell how hot the plate was being a caterer I know pate is served on a cold plate with warm toast. When the mains came it looked as if it had just been thrown on the plate. I had Gammon Steak which was greasy and the chips were over cooked and mushy peas which looked a day old. Did complain but no sorry just "I'll let the chef know for next time." My nan had rump steak the beef looked like the end of the joint that was sat on the carvery and her chips were the same. The dinning room staff were very unprofessional and weren't friendly at all. I would not recommended this place.
