Anything from stuff for any manner of DIY to items for the kitchen, home and more, they've got it, and usually at a better price and quality than the big DIY/home superstores.
I found the owner very helpful and courteous, couldn't have been more friendly.
A proper old -fashioned hardware store that sells everything in a relatively small space, although it's a lot bigger inside, than it appears. It's a bit of a local institution ( everybody speaks in affectionately glowing terms about the place)And items are reasonably priced , if not better than most of the local chain stores. Have found that if you are looking for a specific bulb , for example, you try other places and then find Arnold's usually have it (and you kick yourself for not going here first!) Worth a browse even if you're not looking for something specific as has a large range of household, kitchen as well as electrical and plumbing supplies. . Perhaps the only downside is the location at the high end of town behind the old town hall, although that shouldn't put you off, as there's always ample parking at nearby Mary St car park (it is pay & display). One final mention is the staff are fantasticly friendly and knowledgeable, a few years back, went in for a light fitting and they even guessed specifically where I lived from my description of the house electric's...how's that for service!?!
An excellent old fashioned village hardware store with lots to explore on various levels. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is the best.
This is an awesome hardware shop. They also have a fantastic kitchenware department. And they have gardening supplies and even some camping and cycling supplies upstairs. I love this shop. If you need a couple of screws or bolts you can buy them loose rather than buying a packet for 5 at B&Q.
