No more than any other second hand car dealership. Get the customer, get the deal, then loose all customer service skills and care for the customer in its entirety. Several mistakes with the documentation and the finance paperwork, along with the car being a week late for handover and no communication via email at all with the " salesman " and me having to do all of the chasing myself by phone, only to be pestered after collection of the vehicle for an additional card payment as 'apparently' I was payed too much for my part exchange and because of (By their own admission) their mistake, I was then being pressured to pay for their mistake. Already disgusted by this, three weeks after taking delivery of the car, it broke down at the side of the A38 in rush hour traffic and the AA patrol advised me to take the car to the garage ASAP. which I did the following morning. Returning the car to SWANSON and requesting assistance in their service department. Only to be greeted by the owner of the business and him being very rude and abrupt he wouldn't even discuss helping me until I payed the money which I was apparently over payed for my part ex. Which is owed by his own staff as they had made the mistake. He then continued to get more and more agitated and several times accusing me of directly owing him the money, eventually he stormed off in a tantrum, through the workshop, across the forecourt, got in his car and drove off. I was pretty much speechless. So in a nutshell I would never recommend this shambles of an outfit to anyone and I would also like to thank Mr Kevin Quigg for the square route of nothing. Your luck won't last forever.
Very poor experience. Son purchased car in January ... car had a few issues after then and Swanson's very unhelpful. One issue was that the service light kept coming on at random intervals. Swanson's had the car back in their garage several times, said was fixed but fault kept happening... I've had to pay BMW 60 to reset the car's computer because Swanson's had corrupted the service data. Tried to speak to Swanson's owner about this today but he just hung up on me - how rude is that?!
